Danger is real. Fear is in the mind.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

The mainstream media on behalf of its handlers has the population in a state of fear. Fear of a virus that no matter how you look at it is not deserving of fear at all. 99.97% survive. It is about as deadly as the flu. But the fear has created a real danger. Fear has made people become irrational in both belief and behavior.

They believe that they are sick when they are not. They believe in an experimental injection that will protect them, but only if everyone is injected. Their fear has been turned into rage. The target of this fear-induced rage are those people who don’t believe the media’s propaganda. They are labeled “the unvaccinated” and people want these unvaccinated people to suffer until they join the vaccinated.

Now we have so-called variants, that to the extent they are real, are likely caused or aided by the vaccines themselves. It is not the unvaccinated that are getting sick, but the vaccinated or partially vaccinated. This is due to adverse reactions to the vaccine or due to the variants the vaccine is causing, or due to the violence the vaccines are doing to their immune systems. I am no expert. This is just from what I am reading from doctors and scientists.

The media is promoting fear of the unvaccinated every second of every day. There is danger to the unvaccinated. Apparently, the vaccinated can “shed” on the unvaccinated and cause harmful reactions. While the unvaccinated could be afraid of this, and I would expect that many are, nonetheless, it is the fear the vaccinated have of the unvaccinated that is driving the police state reactions and the vaccine passports, and the firing of medical workers and teachers if they are not vaccinated.

The fear and ultimately, disgust, which could be an even more dangerous emotion, that many of the vaccinated display toward the unvaccinated and those who openly question the media is a very real danger. But it is not good to respond to this with fear.

A few weeks ago, Tessa Lena was on my program. I have some of her essay in front of me. It is called “On Fear of the Monster and Fanaticism: Some Spontaneous Philosophy.” She advocates for love, courage, and joy. I couldn’t agree more. But doing so is not easy. Tessa Lena writes:


“I want to make a clear case against fear and fanaticism, especially in the people “on my side.”

I think we all occasionally feel like this: “I have looked into it, and I’ve discovered a monster, so how dare you not focus on this thing that hurts so much in me? How dare you? How dare you be so complacent about the monster?”

Now, sometimes the feeling may be entirely legitimate. The monster may be scary, and it may be in everyone’s best interest to get their shit [act] together. But for all practical purposes, fear still doesn’t help.

The dance of fighting the monster without being scared is not an easy dance by any stretch of imagination. It’s a difficult dance that requires life-long focus and rebalancing yourself again and again. So I am saying it with hope to be heard and without judgement. The reactive behavior, to my senses, comes from unhealed trauma, not from the lack of intelligence or good intention. But I also believe that anyone who aspires to show the way to others has the obligation to recognize it when they act on fear and fight the beast with tooth and claw. And it is particularly important when fighting a good fight.

How does fanaticism come to exist? I believe that it’s a protective mechanism that shows up in reaction to our fear of horrible things that may happen to us due to no fault of our own but due other people’s poor choices. It’s a tower in one’s head that describes the world in a way that minimizes the sense of helplessness. It’s a reaction to trauma of real or anticipated unearned pain, combined with the lack of desire to investigate the trauma and tackle it head on—or maybe the lack of understanding of how to do it this very second. And perhaps it’s a necessary phase of our emotional growth of every human being…

With all that said, I feel a very strong desire make a case against fear because the times are cray-cray, and we need all hands on deck—and fear is impractical. Fear impacts our bodies, whipping out the hormones that prevent us from thinking straight. If we allow that to happen to us for too long, then instead of acting in an even-headed manner, including in protective ways, we’ll act like fools and regret it later.

(For example, I am not a fan of the popular medical product of the day. Twitter editorials say there isn’t and cannot be any shedding, and perhaps there isn’t, except in, say, Pfizer clinical trial documents— see 8.3.5—and a bunch of other papers, like here and here. But if there is, I am not going to drive myself insane thinking about it all day but instead, do what I think is right, pray for clarity and protection, take a million vitamins, and live my life.)

We are in this mysterious dance with other people, and we are supposed to help each other heal, and it really is a mystery how it works. So I believe that we have an obligation to relax and have faith in joy.”

I do agree with her that we need to act from love, courage, and joy in this dangerous time. We need to face the fears we have. The fear we may have in this current situation, with this particular monster, is not a unique fear. That is to say, the fear that breaks out in us is a fear we have had at times dormant and at times active from our life’s history, including childhood. Some of my old-time fears include fear that I will not do the right thing, fear that I won’t be adequate to the task, fear of losing my security, fear of conflict, fear of being made to look foolish, fear of shame, fear of suffering. Perhaps of all of those, the fear of shame is most dominant.

So important then to act from love, courage, and joy.

I do what I do, that is I do this radio show, and I am active on social media, and I do what I do in my interactions with my work and my family because I love life, I love people, I love this world, and Life itself. I believe the Monster is attacking what I love, so I act not from fear of the monster, or from my old fears that like to dominate my life, but I act from love of myself, and of others, and of this world.

Courage, or heart, is that which knows the fear, but says, act with heart anyway. Act with love. Act with who I really am. That brings joy. I am joyful when I act from love and from courage. It is love, courage, and joy that will give us the weapons we need to slay this monster. Our fear is not a helpful motivator. I will not let the monster take my love or take my courage or take my joy. While I cannot guarantee the outcome of my fight with the monster using love, courage, and joy, I do know that if I begin with fear, the monster will win.

I woke up with fear today. I see what is happening in Australia and Europe and in the United States with people being manipulated and forced to do things against their will or against their nature.

These are dangerous times. They do not have to be fearful times. Fears will come up. They will arise. Our old foe, fear, will attack us and want to drive us. Love, Courage, and Joy are stronger than fear, when we give them control and let them drive our beliefs and actions.

Acting from Love, Courage, and Joy will result in actions that reflect our true selves. They will be beautiful actions whether or not they result in outcomes that will be convincing to others. But they will defeat the Monster in that the Monster will not control our true self. When we act from fear, the Monster controls us. When we act from Love, Courage, and Joy, the Monster cannot control us.

In this radio essay that I created for Independence Day 2021, I define freedom and discuss the Declaration of Independence in light of the present day tyranny that is orders of magnitude beyond the tyranny of 1776. Most are too asleep to know. We have been endowed with Liberty. Live it.

Independence Day.
July 4th, 2021.

It seems that the controllers, the archons, the elites, the oligarchs, the billionaire class, the serpents, or whatever else we might call them, have graciously given us a bit of reprieve this summer from the humiliations of the past 16 months. You can take off your mask and have one hot dog. For the holiday. 

But come Fall, the scary variants, the scarients, Delta or Lambda, or some other Greek letter symbolizing a dubious virus mutant will come to get you and we do it all again. Unless you take the needle. 

You will take the needle or you will get locked down. 

The government has defined freedom in a new way for a new world order. You will be free when you do what we tell you to do. 

Take the needle.

Wear the muzzle.

Keep your distance.

Stay in your home.

Obey the screens.

Don’t talk to each other.

But if you see something, say something—to your trusted authorities.

In the near future, you will have nothing, but you will be happy.

You will be safe and free.

This is a real time drill. This is happening in real time. Don’t let the dark humor fool you. Dark humor is merely a way to cope. This is happening. We are at the beginning of an engineered dystopia that has been planned for many decades if not even for generations. The endgame for the non-billionaires is complete submission, control and servitude. The billionaires would like to have it all tidied up around 2030. 

I don’t think it is possible to be both safe and free. It is one or the other. You want the government to keep you safe? Then you give up freedom. That is how it works. Safety does not give you freedom. Safety gives you prison. Safety requires control. Safety requires obedience. 

Freedom is a dangerous thing. That is why the oligarchs don’t like it. They can’t just say they don’t like it as freedom is something everyone thinks they want. So they redefine it. If you take the needle, you have the freedom to fly in the plane. If you wear the muzzle, you have the freedom to go to the store. 

That is not freedom. That is permission.

You might argue, isn’t safety a good thing? Don’t we teach our children to be safe? Shouldn’t we be safe at work, at travel, and at play?

Whether being safe is good or not is beside the point. I am saying that safety is not freedom. Freedom is dangerous. Of course, those in authority, such as parents, teach safety to their children, precisely because children are not free. Children are not free until they become adults. Then they are not children any longer. They are free from parental control. Free to make their own choices about safety and anything else. 

The problem is that we have allowed our governments to treat us like children. We have given our governments permission to be our parents. As such, in relation to our governments, we never become adults. We are perpetual children, seeking safety as well as sustenance from our governments. Our governments and the authoritarians who direct them are happy to oblige and to exercise control over our lives. 

During these past 16 months that control has exceeded anything I have ever experienced in my adult life. I participated in no discussions, nor were there town hall meetings or any vote taken on whether or not government buildings and businesses should require muzzles, churches should be closed, schools closed, speech censored, travel restricted, assembly banned, injections coerced, or the myriad other assaults on freedom that the governments have imposed. Freedom requires consent. Freedom requires moral agency on behalf of the individual. Freedom is not granted. Freedom is inherent. If there is any grantor of freedom, it is from the Creator of the Universe, from God alone to the individual. 

As it says in the Declaration of Independence, from July 4th, 1776, 245 years ago today:

Quote: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Endquote.

Did you hear that?

We are endowed Liberty by our Creator. 

We are not given Liberty by permission of our government. 

The government serves the people at the people’s consent. 

The question, my friends and patriots, is not whether we have freedom or what hoops we must jump through to earn our freedom. No. We are free. We have freedom–what the Declaration of Independence calls Liberty. We have it. We are endowed with it by God. The question is whether or not we will exercise it. Will we defend it? For if we do not exercise or defend our endowed right to liberty, we will become enslaved. It is that simple. Use it and protect it or lose it. It has happened again and again throughout history and it is happening now. 

The controllers are very clever. They understand human psychology and are experts at manipulation. Through trauma-based coercion the oligarchs have redefined the very word freedom. “Freedom is selfish” we hear. “Freedom comes when you do what we say.” The controllers even go so far as to say that those who exercise and defend their freedom are keeping others from being free. “Those who don’t take the needle or wear the muzzle or keep their distance are the reason you are not free to go to the concert or to the beach” 

The patriots who penned the Declaration of Independence knew about tyranny. Again, from this day 245 years ago, our Founding Fathers wrote:

Quote: “The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.” Endquote

This is exactly where we are today. We are suffering under tyranny with the excuse of a manufactured health crisis. 

However, the tyranny we are experiencing at present is an order of magnitude beyond the tyranny our ancestors resisted in 1776. The technology is now at such an advanced level that we are surveilled, controlled, and harassed by technological gadgets unleashed within the last few decades. This current scamdemic could not have been pulled off without that stupid phone (euphemistically called a “smart” phone) you carry around as if it is your ball and chain, and it is. Your convenience is your prison.

This tyranny is beyond the United States of America, of course. It is global. But because the United States has up to now, been the leading global power, bringing down the USA is the first order of business for these billionaire oligarchs, these transnational agents and parasites. 

The puppet politicians are reading scripts. President Joe Biden does not serve the people of the United States. He serves his masters. He serves the oligarchs. Big Pharma. Big Tech. The Military Industrial Complex. The wet dreams of Greater Israel. He serves them all. He wants to infringe on the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America and restrict the right of the American people to bear arms. This is what Biden said on June 23, 2021:


“Those who say the blood of Patriots, you know, and all the stuff about how we’re gonna have to move against the government,” Biden said. “If you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.” Endquote

What a revealing thing to say. Let’s take this at face value. Is he threatening to use F-15s and nuclear weapons against the American people? Is he going to nuke Mount Rushmore? Is he going to drop bombs on Montana? Let me share again from the Declaration of Independence, signed by a Presbyterian minister, by the way, the only clergyperson to sign, Rev. John Witherspoon. These signers were not afraid of tyrants like Biden and their threats. 

Quote: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” Endquote

Biden is obviously afraid of patriots. He is afraid of those who know better than he it seems, what the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States say and what these documents mean. His statement about F-15s and nuclear weapons is not about what is right. It is about might. When puppet tyrants like Biden use this type of language against the American people you know they are scared. 

What Biden is saying is that he will authorize nuclear weapons to be dropped on the United States of America before he and his fellow tyrants will give up power. How else can this be interpreted? 

The patriots who are defending our right to bear arms, to assemble, to speak freely, to engage in commerce, and to worship—in short, those who are exercising and defending our freedom from this medical tyranny are not against the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. They are its defenders. Both the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution have been ripped to shreds by Biden and by Trump before him and by all the puppets in power going back to Lyndon Baines Johnson at least. This is not a Republican vs. Democrat thing. This is a tyranny vs. freedom thing. Those in power are parasites.

By their fruits shall you know them.

Their fruits are censorship of critical voices, thievery of our public assets, war crimes around the world, executive mandates restricting our freedom to assemble, to speak, to carry out business, and to worship, manipulation and control of our educational and scientific institutions, and the latest forced medical interventions including muzzles and injections. 

Before these parasites give up power, they promise to nuke the planet. Biden’s own words:

“If you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons.” Endquote

I say call his bluff. 

How do we do it? 

First of all, we all need to understand what freedom is and what freedom is not. 

Freedom is not permission. 

Freedom is not granted by any human authority. 

Freedom is not conditional. 

Freedom is not selfish. 

In short, freedom is not anything these parasites claim it is. 

Freedom is not based on external circumstance. 

Let me explain that. A free person can be free even when in chains. Jesus was free as he was nailed to a Roman cross. Hussain was free as his body was filled with arrows on the battlefield in Karbala. Paul and Silas were free even when singing in jail. 

A person is free when that person recognizes that freedom is within. 

A person is free when one cares about one’s soul more than one’s body. 

A person is free when one realizes that God alone is Lord of the conscience.

Freedom is endowed by God to the individual.

Freedom is inherent.

In the words of the African-American spiritual:

Oh freedom

Oh freedom

Oh freedom over me

And before I’d be a slave

I’d be buried in my grave

And go home to my lord and be free.

That is freedom. 

No one gives it to you.

You take it. 

You take it to your grave, if necessary.

When people say for example, that the government needs to give a righteous man who is unlawfully and unjustly imprisoned, his freedom, that is not accurate. The righteous man is free already. What needs to happen is that his external circumstance becomes the same as his internal condition. That may or may not happen. Whether it does or not is a judgment upon the authorities as to whether or not they are following the principles of freedom, the Constitution of the United States, in our case. 

We are all endowed with freedom, granted to us by our Creator. This is the human condition. It is the philosophy and spirituality behind the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. Its roots go back to and through the defining texts and teachings of Islam, Christianity, and the Hebrew prophets. Buddhism and Hinduism are based on the same principle.

We have this freedom. Granted not by human beings but by our Creator, by God, by Eternal Consciousness or whatever name. We are free by nature. 

There is something else to say here. We are free. But we can lose freedom. We can lose it first not to external forces, but within ourselves. 

One is free to the extent that one realizes, exercises, and defends the inherent freedom with which we have all been endowed. It is ultimately a freedom of the mind or of the soul. 

One can lose that freedom by accepting the lie that freedom is given by another person or by a government or some external enemy. They do not make me free or not free. I am free myself, no matter what happens to me externally. 

When you stop exercising and defending your inherent freedom, your freedom of mind and soul, you become enslaved. You become enslaved by desire or by fear or by sin—various spiritual traditions have names for this condition of soul-slavery. But it boils down to putting other authorities in place of the ultimate authority and replacing this authority with an idol. 

For instance, today, people sacrifice their inherent freedom for safety, even the illusion of safety. People sacrifice freedom for treats. How easily the authorities get people to take the needle. Free beer! Even when people know or at least suspect that the needle could be harmful and certainly isn’t needed, they take it for permission to engage in limited activities, mistakenly, and shrewdly called “freedoms” by these parasitic authorities. 

Once you give up your freedom for fear, safety, or treats, you are giving up the very thing that makes you a human being. If you know better but go against your nature because of what authorities tell you, you lose your inherent, God-endowed freedom to that same extent.

When your soul is enslaved, then it is nothing for parasites, despots, and tyrants to enslave your body. It is a piece of cake for them. You enslave the soul and then the body.

Puppet Biden doesn’t need nuclear weapons to control Americans. The weapon used against the American people by these parasites is trauma-based mind control. That is what is enslaving us. 

The American people–the whole of humanity really, but I am speaking on this Independence Day to the American people in particular–, the American people have been enslaved in their minds by trauma-based mind control. It has been going on for a long time. We are coming up on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The official story is a complete fabrication. Anyone who looks at it critically can see that. Part of the trauma-based mind control is that the perpetrators (deep state operatives of Israel and the United States) enslaved minds and souls with this spectacle, media bombardment, shaming, and silencing of critics. People won’t even look at it because of the massive psychological enslavement. 

Once you enslave the mind, the rest is easy. People obey. Suddenly you can bomb other countries, kill millions, and restrict freedoms at home. The enslaved-in-mind think it is all done to fight terrorism or keep us safe and believe whatever the television screens tell them.

Now this latest scam is an order of magnitude beyond the mind control of 9/11. 

Once one sees through the delusion and sees that this manufactured health crisis is a scam by the same perpetrators of 9/11, then one is confronted by the diabolical scale and evil of this thing. 

But that is the first step in restoring your internal freedom. 

“The truth shall set you free.”

Isn’t it amazing how relevant our scriptures have become now? Another reason why places of worship are restricted and shut down. As stumbling and sinful as religions have been, the wisdom that their scriptures contain can shine like diamonds in the rough. 

Back to internal freedom. Truth is the first casualty in the death of freedom and the first step towards restoration of the inherent freedom God has given you. 

You want freedom? Research. Learn the truth and when you learn it admit it. Face it. No matter the tears and the anger and the fear that can arise. Be committed to learning what is really going on as painful and as scary as it is. The TV screens will not tell you the truth. It is not about left or right, liberal or conservative. 

The conservative leaders were the puppets for 9/11.

The liberal leaders are the puppets for COVID. 

But they are all puppets, empty suits who don’t care about you in the least. Red and Blue are pitted against each other, as well as Black and White, and all the other divisive nonsense. Divide and conquer. 

So…research and use your critical faculties and connect with people beyond old divisions to research what is real. Those who are becoming aware of their own freedom do not agree on everything. We don’t know everything. But we are not giving up or giving in on the search for what is true. 

That is the first and ongoing step to becoming the free person you were created to be. Search for what is true. 

“The truth shall set you free.”

The free person not only searches for what is true, the free person acts upon what is true. 

Through the practice of freedom, one becomes free. 

One of the strategies of the oligarchs to keep us enslaved in mind, and then enslaved in body, is shaming. We fear being isolated and alienated from others. We are social beings and shaming serves to keep people in line. 

“How dare you suggest that we have been lied to about 9/11! Conspiracy theorist!”

Or, “How dare you not believe the CDC and the WHO! You don’t trust science! Deplorable!”

You get the drill. People even when they suspect that something is wrong with what we have been told, nonetheless shrink away from what they suspect to be true because of what their friends will think, or their family, or their employer. They are thus shamed into compliance. They deny their own freedom.

You must exercise your freedom to own your truth. 

If you do not exercise your freedom you will lose your freedom like an atrophied muscle. 

Here is the final thing you must do. It is the hardest. It may take time and it will take practice, but we don’t have much time. 

You must act on your freedom even at the cost of your own life.

If you think wearing a muzzle is against truth, restricts your freedom, and promotes and prolongs this scam, why do you wear it? If you say that you wear it to keep your job, then you value your job more than freedom. You may be strategic about it, justifying it to yourself in some way. I understand. But be careful. Every compromise with tyrants atrophies your freedom muscle. There is a reason for the muzzle. The oligarchs are trying to force compliance. They are creating a culture of obedience.

How far will you let them control you? I understand people who take the needle because they are deceived. But what about those who take the needle and who know better? You can justify it to yourself. You can deceive yourself. But be careful. Your freedom muscle has just been atrophied that much more. There is a reason for the needle. There may be many horrific reasons. But at the least, the oligarchs use it to force compliance. They are creating a culture of obedience.

How many compromises will you make before you enact your freedom? It doesn’t matter what I say or think. I am not the judge. Read your Bible or your Qur’an or the Bhagavad Gita or the Dhammapada. That is pretty much the entire message. 

Read the Declaration of Independence. 

“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government…”

Our ancestors who put their grievances to paper and signed their names to them 245 years ago today, July 4th1776, suffered for their actions. Many died in poverty if they weren’t outright killed in war. Many lost everything. 

The tyranny we are facing today and the direction that we are headed today, is far more devastating than what they faced then. Yes, the situation today is far worse. We are deluded and deceived because we have been bought with treats, but we are now, currently, under a far greater despotism than were our ancestors two and one-half centuries before us. 

Are you ready now, if ever, to exercise your freedom?

If not now, when?

I am not speaking of course to those who don’t already know this. Those who are totally deluded and immersed into the Covidian Cult will not understand what I am saying. But if you are listening to me now, you know what I am saying. You know this. You are just afraid. I get it. I am too. 

But we have no choice. We are here now. We didn’t ask for it. But we are in it. The lives of our children and grandchildren will depend on our actions now. If you are afraid to stand up to your elementary school that forces muzzles on your children or to the university demanding the needle for your college-age student to attend class, then that is your gift to your child. Slavery. Slavery in body as well as mind.

These despots will not become nicer. They are tyrants. They need to be treated the way our forefathers treated the throne of England in their time. 

O beautiful for heroes proved 

in liberating strife, 

who more than self their country loved, 

and mercy more than life!

I love this country. 

I love America.

But I despise with every fiber of my being the parasites who have taken control of our leadership. That goes for presidents to ineffectual congressmen and women, to the criminals in our intelligence agencies, to our militaristic psychopaths, to scientists who use their talent to kill, to state governors who behave like petty tyrants, to media zombies, and to our educational institutions who have sold their souls to political correctness.

We are under attack. 

We must fight back.

You fight by being free, first in mind, and then in body.

Know this. You are not alone. 

Freedom is rising. 

All over people are starting to rub the sleep from their eyes and wake up to this tyranny. The vast, vast majority will never wake up. They are not needed. A tipping point is all that is needed. We get to that tipping point by searching for truth, embracing what is true, and using our voices. That is it. Use your voice. Speak. Then act on what you say.

245 years ago, on this date, July 4th, 1776 our forefathers put their names on a document we call the Declaration of Independence. I will close with the first two paragraphs and the last paragrph to honor them and the spirit of Liberty for which they suffered, fought, and died. Ultimately, they were victorious. May God grant us the same victory.

Quote: “The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.” 

And the declaration concluded:

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor. Endquote
